We are a family oriented gym with a focus on developing every athlete based on their individual potential and are strongly driven by the needs of our athletes and families versus our egos and making a "name" for ourselves. We have developed a strong program as a newer gym and now have established a wonderful team of coaches including a New Optional Coach , as well as having the most caring and dedicated recreational and compulsory coaches around.
Tracy Yates started coaching gymnastics part time while competing for Fayetteville Boys Gymnastics Team in High School. He went on to The University of New Mexico Men's Gymnastics Team for a year before injuries ended his competing career. During the years following his retirement from competing, he coached compulsory and optional levels up to level 10 at several clubs in Arkansas, Missouri, Illionois, and Wisconsin. He spent a year as the Assistant Coach for the Women's Gymnastics's Team at Illinois State University. Tracy also coached at The University of Illinois Women's Gymnastic's Camp for 10 years in a row. He also coached several summers at Lake Owen Gymnastics Camp in Cable, Wisconsin and her sister camp Woodward in Pennsylvania. Tracy's Optional Team from Gymnastic's Etc. in Illinois had 3 gymnasts make it to Regionals the first year he coached them and place well enough to be recruited to Elite programs in Chicago the following year and all 3 went on to receive full ride scholarships: One to Illinois State University, One at Ball State University, and One to Kentucky. His total coaching experience is over 25 years with 16 years of full-time uninteruppted coaching time. We are thrilled and blessed to have him.
